Don Q Oak Barrel Spiced Rum

donqobs

Destilería Serrallés has announced the release of Don Q’s Oak Barrel Spiced Rum.

The distillery used a blend of Puerto Rican rums that have been aged for a minimum of three years and up to six years for this expression, adding the structure, smoothness and tannins that “differentiate Don Q Oak Barrel Spiced Rum from unaged spiced rums,” the company says.

Flavors include a blend of vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and clove, along with a barrel-aged rummy character. Warm kitchen spices slowly give way to oaky tannins, the company reports. Aromas include vanilla and nutmeg, beginning with honey oak notes.

No artificial flavors or colors were added to this dry rum. The spirit aged in American white oak barrels

“We wanted to make sure we created an elevated experience for our customers, one that would reveal how barrel ageing and pure ingredients can take spiced rum from an ordinary mixer to an exceptional spirit, said Roberto Serrallés, the sixth-generation owner of Destilería Serrallés, in a press release.

Don Q Oak Barrel Spiced Rum is available at liquor stores throughout the country. It is 90 proof and is priced at $29.99 per 750-ml. bottle.
