Heaven Hill Brands today announced the launch of Christian Brothers Apple, the third flavor extension in the growing Christian Brothers Brandy family. The newest addition takes a bite out of the popular flavored brown spirits category, building off the fast-growing apple flavor and successes of CB Honey and Peach.

CB Apple combines real, natural apple with the rich taste of Christian Brothers Brandy, distilled from premium grape varietals and aged in hand selected oak barrels.

Christian Brothers Apple is available nationally in 50ml, 375ml and 750ml sizes bottled at 35% alc./vol. (70 proof). The suggested retail price is $10.99 for 750ml.

Sean “Diddy” Combs introduced the world to CÎROC™ Apple Infused Vodka during his appearance last tonight on “Late Night with Seth Meyers.” CÎROC Apple is the sixth flavor in the line extension from the makers of CÎROC Ultra Premium. The newest variant joins the best-selling lineup, which includes CÎROC Ultra Premium, CÎROC Pineapple, CÎROC Peach, CÎROC Amaretto, CÎROC Red Berry and CÎROC Coconut.

Jim Beam Apple will target gin drinkers as the company looks to fill a gap in its Bourbon portfolio.

At the launch of the new variant in London yesterday, company executives stated that Jim Beam Apple “will recruit from the gin category” when it is rolled out from May. This will help the Jim Beam brand broaden its appeal as it continues to attract younger consumers from other spirits categories, management said.

“Jim Beam Honey recruited from the rum category and (black cherry-flavoured) Red Stag from the vodka category,” said Judith Giegerich, Beam Suntory’s Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) brand manager for Bourbon. “With Apple, we want to target the occasions when people drink gin.”

Giegerich said Jim Beam Apple has a lighter, more summer-style taste profile and like gin can be mixed with tonic.

It will be released in the US in July.
