Absolut® Unveils Launch of New Absolut Lime

Absolut® officially unveils Absolut Lime as the newest, most refreshingly versatile addition to round out the iconic Absolut citrus portfolio, joining Absolut Citron and Absolut Mandrin – the No. 1 selling lemon and orange-flavored vodkas in the U.S1. 2 parts Absolut Lime
2 parts soda
2 parts ginger ale
½ part fresh lime

Build in a highball over ice. Garnish with lime stirrer skewered with accordion cucumber.

Absolut Lime Drop
2 parts Absolut Lime
1 part Lime Juice
¾ part Simple Syrup

Combine all ingredients and shake with ice. Strain into a shot glass. Garnish with sugared lime.

Absolut Lime Vodkarita
2 parts Absolut Lime
1 part Lime Juice
½ part Agave Nectar

Shake all ingredients with ice until cold. Strain into a rocks glass with fresh ice and a half salted rim. Garnish with a lime wedge.

Cruzan® Blueberry Lemonade Cooler
Ingredients:
2 parts Cruzan® Blueberry Lemonade Rum
3/4 part Fresh Grapefruit Juice
1 small pinch Sea Salt
Club Soda

Method: Combine rum, grapefruit juice and salt over ice in a shaker. Shake vigorously for 10 seconds. Double strain into a glass over ice and top with club soda. Garnish with a twist of lemon peel.

Cruzan® Caribbean Dream
Ingredients:
1 1/2 parts Cruzan® Blueberry Lemonade Rum
1/2 part Fresh Lime Juice
1/2 part Cream

Method: Combine all ingredients over ice in a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously for 10 seconds and double strain into a fluted shot glass. Garnish with freshly grated cinnamon and a speared Maraschino cherry.

1 part Kahlua Salted Caramel
2 parts premium chilled coffee
Pour ingredients over ice. Add milk to taste and enjoy.

KAHLUA SALTED CARAMEL FROZEN MUDSLIDE
2 parts Kahlua Salted Caramel
1 part Absolut Vodka
1 part Irish cream liqueur
2 scoops vanilla ice cream
Add ingredients with ice in a blender. Blend until smooth. Top with chocolate syrup and whipped cream.

KAHLUA SALTED CARAMEL COLADA
1 part Kahlua Salted Caramel
1 part Malibu
1 part coconut cream
1 part pineapple juice
2 rings of fresh pineapple
Blend all ingredients with ice and pour into a highball glass.

Traditionally garnished with half an orange and a maraschino cherry, a whiskey sour is a mixed drink containing whiskey (often Bourbon), lemon juice and sugar. Whiskey sours are shaken then either served straight or over ice.

The Whiskey Sour has withstood the test of time!

An 1870 Wisconsin newspaper has the world’s oldest historical mention of a whiskey sour.

After opening, a bottle of whiskey will remain good for five years.

A unopened bottle of whiskey can be kept for over 100 years and will still be good to drink.

NATIONAL WHISKEY SOUR DAY HISTORY

Within our research, we were unable to find the creator or the origin of National Whiskey Sour Day, an “unofficial” national holiday.

THE RECIPES

An option to the traditional whiskey sour is the Boston sour which is made by adding a dash of egg white to the recipe. Another variant is the Ward 8. The Ward 8 is based with either Bourbon or rye whiskey with both lemon and orange juices added along with grenadine syrup for the sweetener.
