NEW: XO, G Moscato

xog-moscatoGiuliana Rancic has added Moscato as a new varietal to her wine brand, Xo, G. Available on select Walmart shelves in late spring 2015, the new Moscato is a semi-sweet wine with big, beautiful aromas of ripe peaches, a touch of honey sweetness and a wonderfully refreshing finish. Packaged in an innovative bottle designed for by-the-glass consumption, Xo, G consists of four prefilled, individually sealed, shatterproof, stemless wine glasses that snap together to form a perfect equivalent of a 750mL bottle, wonderful for those who prefer just one glass.

After the success of the initial launch of Xo, G with the Italian Pinot Grigio and the French Rose and Pinot Noir, Rancic was excited to add a Californian wine as a new addition to her wine brand. Rancic was looking to fill the high demand from consumers for a sweeter taste that has been trending in the wine industry. Perfect for summer, Moscato is fruity and sweet in flavor but still light and crisp.

“After hearing the positive reaction from consumers with the initial launch, I did an extensive amount of outreach through social media to find out what new flavors the Xo, G wine buyers wanted,” shares Giuliana Rancic. “As the wine industry is steering towards the sweeter flavors like Riesling and Sparkling Prosecco, it was no surprise that Xo, G consumers were demanding for a fruity Moscato.”

The California Moscato will hit shelves in late Spring and will be sold alongside the ever-so popular Xo, G Pinot Grigio, Pinot Noir, and Rose.

Dia Simms Appointed President Of Combs Wine & Spirits

Sean Combs, Chairman and CEO of Combs Enterprises, one of the world’s leading entertainment companies today announced the appointment of Dia Simms as the new president of Combs Wine & Spirits, the premium spirits business he created in 2013.

As president of Combs Wine & Spirits, Dia will oversee Ciroc Ultra Premium Vodka, luxury tequila DeLeon and will lead the spirits innovation business for the company. An award winning industry executive, Dia has been a pivotal figure in Mr. Combs’ business empire for nearly a decade. Dia has been instrumental in making Ciroc an industry success and has led the brand’s growth efforts since its inception. Under her leadership, Ciroc was named one of America’s Hottest Brands by Advertising Age (2010) and Market Watch Spirit Brand of the Year (2011). She was also a key player in the acquisition of DeLeon Tequila in 2013 and the brand’s relaunch last fall and will report to Mr. Combs and Brian Offutt, Chief Operating Officer, Combs Enterprises.

NEW PS Match Wines by Patti Stanger

Patti-Stanger-PS-MatchPrairie Creek Beverages announced Tuesday its partnership with Bravo! Network’s “Millionaire Matchmaker” star, Patti Stanger to create a new line of fine wines, PS Match. The collection is sourced from grapes around the world and developed in collaboration with established wine vintner, Cameron Hughes.

Dallas-based Prairie Creek Beverages specializes in wine and spirits brand development and marketing. With an impressive portfolio including JR Ewing Bourbon.

Patti-StangerStanger, PS Match co-founder and founder of Millionaires Club, is a third generation matchmaker, coming from a family of venerated matchmakers and matchmaking company owners. In addition, the Stanger family has a long history in hospitality and dining, owning several restaurants located on the East Coast. This is not Stanger’s first foray into the spirits industry, having been a huge fan of sake brand TY KU; Stanger became an owner and partner in the company. To date, Stanger has added acclaimed TV personality, bestselling author and radio host to her growing list of credits.

Cameron Hughes is well known as the SF-based co-founder, with his wife Jessica, of the Cameron Hughes Wines Company. Hughes Launched the Lot Series in 2004, selling to Whole Foods, Costco, Safeway, and others. Cameron Hughes Wine is one of the leading modern American wine companies in the US.

ON WHAT TO EXPECT FROM HER NEW WINE COLLECTION, PS MATCH
PS: I’m going to have four flavors. We have a sweet red sparkling, we have a crisp green apple chardonnay, we have a cab—because we gotta have our traditional cab, but it’s a little more on the berry/jammy side—and we got to have our rose prosecco. Two of them come from Italy and two of them come from Napa; all four go with everything. These wines can be made into cocktails as well. With our sweet red sparkling, we do a sangria. Bringing people together was the big thing—bringing people together, sharing, relationships, intimacy, friendships have been built upon some the greatest wines of all time. And it is the elixir of the gods.
