Snopp Dogg is my shareholder


Snoop Dogg has become the new face of Brazilian alcohol brand Cuca Fresca after investing in the cachaca company. The rapper is fronting the firm’s new Drink Different advertising campaign to promote the exotic beverage, a distilled spirit made from sugarcane juice, which is described as a cross between rum and tequila.

The hip-hop superstar reveals he fell in love with Brazil and its people back in 2003, when he headed to the South American country to film the music video for his Pharrell Williams hit, Beautiful, and he is excited to introduce new fans to the brand. He says, “I’m excited to partner with the good people at Cuca Fresca. “I have mad love for the Brazilian people and culture, and look forward to spreading the word about cachaca and the cool vibes of the country to the U.S.”

Phoenix Kelly-Rappa, Cuca Fresca CEO, adds, “Snoop’s reputation for being on the cutting edge of what is cool combined with his dedicated fan base will help create world-wide brand awareness for Cuca Fresca. “We are thrilled to be entering into this unprecedented partnership and can’t wait to make Cuca Fresca, and cachaca, a household name.”

Snoop Dogg is the latest star to enter the alcohol business – Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, Dr. Dre, Ludacris and Pitbull are just some of the rappers who have toasted their success in the drinks industry in recent years.
